I find nothing more exhausting than
work done in vain. Jesus calls us to give our all. This should be whether we
are sweeping a floor, caring for a household, or building a business. Our
passion grows and our hope strengthens once we see a good result. Yet, what are
we to do when we don’t see that end, when our efforts seem futile, when we do
not agree on the outcome? This is do know, for Jesus has told us, when you give
your work for the love of God’s Kingdom, your soul will be at rest and your days
will end in peace.
Jesus
answered and said to them, “This is the work of God; that you believe in the
one he sent.” – John 6:29
