Sometimes we get
so wrapped up in proving our point, we forget to fight for the cause. The
focus of any dispute should be to reveal truth, not to win the argument. We
must face each disagreement with an open mind, willing to compromise, even at
risk of abandoning our own fervor if we find a greater truth is revealed.
But when he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. – John 16:13
