Who do people see when they see
you? A genuine person, of whom there is no duplicity; or are you hiding your
true feelings, sometimes so well you even hide them from yourself? Our culture
teaches us to please those around us. We struggle to prove ourselves to family,
co-workers, and friends. So much of our day is given in order to live up to
other’s expectations. Yet, when you place yourself before God in contrite
prayer, He becomes the strength that inspires you to be yourself. It sometimes
takes time, but once you trust the contentment He brings, you will give joyful thanks
for the “you” He has created and relish a day of personal achievements accomplished
for the Glory of God.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge
and all discernment; so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that
ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ;- Philippians
1:9-10
