October 1 - Cross

The only way to overcome a problem is to acknowledge that it exists.  Once accepted, it becomes our cross to bear.  When we look on our troubles with the hope of Christ, our cross no longer is an anchor of pain and uncertainty, but we can lift it high, knowing that within this journey lays the hope that conquers the world.

 

Christ became obedient for us unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God also hath exalted Him, and hath given Him a name which is above every name. – Philippians 2:8-9
