There is great joy in sharing moments with someone else. No celebration is as grand, no victory as monumental, no laughter as pure, no sorrow made easy, as when you have a friend by your side. Made in the likeness of our Heavenly Father, we yearn for togetherness. This is the element of love. This is the desire of life; that no man be alone, and no man be apart from his creator. My prayer today is that you find joy in belonging to the family of God. Embrace your loved ones, embrace your neighbor, and embrace eternal hope. – Becki

Tuesday, May 28, 2013 - Good Choices
The really important choices in life – the choice to believe
in Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior, to keep learning from the word, to
say yes to God, regardless – shape all the other choices we will make
throughout life. – Lord, Bless My Child, p. 183
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. –

Thursday, May 23. 2013 - Calling
When Samuel heard God summoning, he jumped up and ran to
Eli, who as the nearest person seemed like the logical choice to run to. Samuel
was not used to hearing ethereal voices and it took him several times to
finally get it, even though Eli was insistent that he did not call. It was not
until Samuel finally stayed still that he learned the true source of the
bidding. How often do we see signs and interruptions that send us running to
find the source or solution, only adding confusion and conflict to our lives.
Sit still, lay down, calm your soul and be open to the call our Lord is
sending. - Becki
. . . He is Yahweh,
let him do what he thinks good. – 1 Samuel 3:18

Wednedsay - May 22, 2013 - Relationships
In today's technology, communication is handled mostly through email, text messages, blogs, and many other choices of medium. Within these words, it is hard to convey true emotions. Lost is the connection with the other of being able to look into their face and see the sincerity in their eyes and trust that lies within their souls. Just as we must find that time to sit with a friend or acquaintance, to physically hold his hand, and offer our complete trust to them, we must make that time to know and trust in God. The Scriptures are given to us as guides. They skim the surface of who God is. Unless we sit with Him, hold him in our hearts, and look into His Spirit, we cannot find the complete and trusting love we must have for Him. Take the time to know Him in His entire Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Experience the trust and grace that comes from our Lord.
For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. - 2 Timothy 1:12

Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - Preparation
No matter how skilled an athlete, he cannot begin a race without a warm-up. He must wake his system and stretch his muscles so that they respond to every need. Just like the athlete, we must prepare. Our Father has planned an incredible race for us. Beginning each day in scripture and prayer strengthens us in mind, body, and spirit. With this preparation, we warm our spirit to our Father's Will and stand ready respond to every turn within our day.

Thursday, May 16, 2013 - Job
God's mercy is all that is necessary to bring us into His Kingdom. Our job is to love Him, to serve Him, and be happy with Him in Heaven.
For God so loved the world, that He gave us his only begotten son. And whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. -John 3:16

Although you may not possess the skill to mend the body,
kindness and hope reach the soul and heal more than medicine ever can. Be there
for another. It makes a world of difference.

Monday, May 13, 2013 - Joy
The Bible expresses joy in a multitude of ways: "joy," "gladness," "mirth"; "to be bright," "to shine", "to rejoice," and to "be glad". Take the time today to celebrate. Choose the joy in each moment and renew your spirit. Let us give thanks and be glad.
The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked
goes out. – Proverbs 13:9

Thursday, May 9, 2013 - Embrace
God is eternal. He has no beginning or end. This world and all of its events, joyful or painful, was held in His hands from the beginning of time. Even in kowing all and realizing the magnitude of the pain we would bring Him, somehow the love triumphed and joy prevailed. Each day, we face some moment in our lives we do not particularly care for. Our natural tendency in to shy away from any awkward or uncomfortable moment; yet, we must remember our Heavenly Father. Let us embrace His love and emulate the joy He receives through knowing we are His. Facing each moment with the conviction that no matter the struggle goodness lies within, beyond, and through it, joy can be ours.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy." - john 16:20

Wednesday, May 8, 2013 - Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit nudges us frequently. Some call this our conscience. When we feel a pull to go a certain path, or follow a particular call, we must stop and contemplate this moment. Our Advocate knows what is right and what is needed. Place your faith in Him. Responding to His inspiration can save us many moments of regret.
But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. - Jude 1:20-21

Tuesday, May 7, 2013 - Inspiration
Inspiration comes in many forms and, at times, in unusual moments. Open your spirit to God in each moment of your day. Listen with questioning hearts. A lifetime of opportunities await.
One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. - Acts 16:14

Monday, May 6, 2013 - Playful
With so much pain and hurting in our world, I often find
myself feeling guilty whenever I can indulge in simple pleasures. I find that
in our fast-paced days, it becomes harder and harder to make time for myself.
But God's plans include these times of rest. Jesus was immersed in a life of
sorrow, pain, and remorse, yet He found the time to dance at a wedding, sing
praises in the temple, and laugh with His disciples. It was not uncommon at all
for Him to sneak away to himself and indulge in that much needed quiet time or
to opt to spend time with just His friends. These are the moments that
determine our true soul. Freeing our time to allow a choice, rather than being
pulled by the direction of our world, frees us to worship with a pure heart.
Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. - Psalm 148:3-4

Wednesday, May 1, 2013 - Hope
In His 6 days of creation, God put together an incredible world. I can only imagine the wonder of our new world which Christ has been preparing for each of us throughout our earthly years.
Isaiah 66:22 "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the LORD, "so will your name and descendants endure.
